Tachycardia for 30 min after masturbation in prone position

I had dual chamber pacemaker(Medtronics) implantation 5 months back for complete heart block on table while doing radio-frequency ablation of  abbernt pathway in heart.m 28 yr old.settings of PM=lowest heart rate 50/min.highest 130/min.

I had tachycardia of 130/min which was for 30 min while doing masturbation in prone position.after 30min it returns back to normal.i had same episodes for 3 times.nd both time it was for 30 min nd return back to normal.rate of 130 is ok but why it stays for 30min.it should be normal immediately as i stop doing that activity.bt it takes 30 min to return back even after rest

Talk to your doctor

With all the settings or adjustments to our devices coupled with all the medication we take, it is normal that each of us have different reactions

I understand your concerns, but you should talk to your doctor. We all had similiar complications from different activities, just talk to your doctor

Ummm....

I'm going to _very_ carefully step into this thread, suggest you read the posts about bumpy roads and rate response, and then _very_ carefully step out again.

Ummmmmmm ..... I agree with Elisabet

It is probably best not to do it while you're driving !

Choking

Not me, Robo. My hand prefers the downward facing dog position.

Really,  the problem in these cases is usually in the matter surrounding the pituitary gland. A checkup from the neck up is certainly called for.

30min is too long to simply explain away - go back to your EP

Leaving aside the physical challenge of prone versus supine masturbation, and what appears to be everyone's assumption that you're male (not sure if you'd meant to write "I'm a 28 yr old" or "M 28 yr old"), I suspect that your aberrant pathway may not have been completely destroyed by the ablation.

30min seems long enough to be a self-terminating SVT, perhaps helped to end by the big shift from sympathetic to parasympathetic drive after orgasm.  Vagal stimulation is a very well known trick to try and terminate an SVT, and the excitement of the activity could well bring on an SVT episode.

I think you need to go back to your EP *soon* and have your PM interrogated.  If it's been set up in a conventional way, there should be some records of the tachy event(s).

50/130 seems very low for a 28 year old.  Sounds a lot like factory default settings for someone with post-AV destruction bradycardia.
