Hello all again... I was here a year ago with a posting "Told I need a Pacemaker". To keep this short I got several opinions and found a doc who was on the board for determining the criteria for pacemaker surgery. He told me I didn't meet the criteria then.
..Here I am about a year later and went for my follow up and all checked out fine. The funny thing is for the entire year I didn't have any skipped beats (noticeable to me that is) worked out and felt great. The day after I met with him my heart was skipping beats and I felt fatigued etc.. No syncope episodes though...Now I have to go for another Holter so he can see whats happening.....I have a scared feeling that this may now be the later part of the "Sooner or later I may need one" statement he told me last year....Man this is tough, I thought I was in the clear again....

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.
It still may be later

I was put on all kinds of meds, had 3 ablations, and tried to put off having a pacemaker implanted until it was absolutely necessary. It bought me 6 years! You still may be in the wait and see mode for a while longer, but the holter monitor is a good idea so your Dr. can see what's going on. A 90 day event monitor is even better though, because rarely is anything caught on the 24 hour Holter. Could you ask your Dr. about this? Often stress and worry and anxiety can exacerbate symptoms,, so the fact that you had these following your check up is not surprising! Take care and keep us posted on your results!
