My ICD is 2 to 3 inches lower than when reimplanted 1 year ago. There is no pain and everything seems to be working properly. Should I be concerned?

My first pm moved down and laterally, and when he replaced the pm with an ICD he said he sewed the pocket closed where it had moved and fastened it down more, but the ICD has moved back to where the PM was before. He's not concerned and I sure don't want the risks of going in to reposition. I have a couple of years left on my ICD and he said something about changing sides next time. I'm active, so he feels that's what has caused it to move.

Mention it to your doctor next time you have an appointment. They may want to do an xray to track it. As long as the leads aren't compromised, and there's no reason to think they are, then it's fine. Mine has moved quite a bit also, enough that I've considered having it put back where it was.
