i know you can get insurance and that is not the problem. look up some places in the usa for medical assistance for pacemakers and if you have problems you are at least familiar with the names. chances are you won't have problems. i live in canada. my husband was in australia for seven weeks before christmas and loved it. i did not go becuase i had just recently got my pacemaker for the first time. we did go to the usa in january and i had no problems at all. we live on the border to the usa near detroit michigan. more people who will answer this will ahve travelled internationally and can give you first hand info. take care denise, jessie

Hi everyone..
Just wondering...I had my pacemaker checked to day
all ok!!! My specialist said he was pleased I am going on my cruise in March. However he feels I will not be able to get into America for a holiday at the end of next year as he health regulations are too strict. Is that true?
I know some people have messenged back saying should be okay...but he feels there will be problems. He reckons I wont get health insurance. I did get covered for the cruise to South Pacific but that was a hassle.

I think I just missed you on the chat line. I left a message there for you. Some people, I think, are a bit nervous of the chat line as they log in but don't leave a message. What I said was that you are an inspiration to this forum, and I will chat to you any time I catch you on the chat forum.
I will be having a PM fitted soon and found this website a great help as I was really worried, I am still nervous but armed with more knowledge.
Hope to chat to you on the chat forum soon

I don't know about medical restrictions to visit the US, but have fun while you are here. My wife and I traveled to Australia in 1999 and had a great time. the people were great. When you are here be sure and visit what we call flyover country. Don't just visit the two coasts.
