Nice story indeed but it would been  lot better if they'd found a writer who knew anything about his assignment.

"received a heart catheterization. Doctors found he had a complete heart blockage."

Was it a "heart blockage", which would have indicated a CABG and not a pacemaker?  Or, was it a "heart block", which wouldn't be found during a catheterization?

I'd have learned more if the writer had been half competent but that's too much to expect from "journalists" anymore.
