Will improper leads cause pain in shoulder and arm?

But you really need to give us more information to even make an educated guess.  Your bio is empty and your question tells us nothing about your problem (other than "it hurts"), when you had your PM implanted, or your history.  That being said, it would be highly unlikely for the leads to cause pain in your shoulder or arm.

I echo Agent's wise words.  The short answer is that yes, your leads could be rubbing against the brachial plexus which could cause numbness, tingling, pain in the arm that side.  But brachial plexus irritation from pacing leads is very uncommon.

Or it could be unrelated, with perhaps a cervical spine disc herniation affecting a nerve root that can cause pain, numbness, tingling on that side.

'Improper leads' as a phrase suggests that you've already made up *your* mind about the cause.  What do *you* mean by improper leads?

How far post op are you?  The swelling from surgery can press on the brachial plexus nerves.  After the swelling subsides, the pain should get better. I had this pain post op. I got massages, iced and heat to the area to help
