Sports and ICDs

Hello, I've just had an ICD fitted one month ago and so far so good.

I've been searching for answers to a few questions but there appears to be no information available so hoping someone might have some answers.

I play a combat shooting sport called airsoft, we use replica weapons that use 6mm plastic pellets to "shoot" each other. Obviously protecting the wound site is crucial but my questions relate more to electrical interference of my device.

The guns we use to play are battery powered and as such use motors that have magnets on them. So main question is does anyone amongst here play airsoft after having a device fitted? If so what measures have you taken to minimise or mitigate any risks and have you noticed any issues I should be aware of.

Cheers

No worries. That little motor isn't going to do anything to your PM. I wouldn't play in the first month, anyway. Let things heal.

Have fun!

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
