I haven't posted in a long time but just wanted to know if anyone has experienced left shoulder pain and swelling at the top of the shoulder. If you have was it connected to the implant. I am experiencing that and it is very painful. I have had my device since 3/2009 and next year and when my battery will be replaced.

Thank you. I will take a picture of it. I have an appointment with my ortho doctor on 5/4, so hopefully he can tell me something.

A properly implanted and adjusted pacemaker will not even be noticeable after you get over the surgery.

Hi: Shoulder *tip* pain is sometimes experienced as referred pain from the diaphragm, but you don't specify it as shoulder tip pain.
Swelling at the top of the shoulder doesn't seem likely to be related to your ICD, especially as you've had it (the ICD) for so long.
In your shoes I would seek advice from a physio to start with - depending on how the lockdown is going where you are. Also, try to take a selfie of your shoulder and have a good look at it to see what you can see, and perhaps share the picture with a physio.
Best wishes.
