Leads coming loose

Hi,
I've seen a few people write about leads coming loose from the heart or device. I was wondering how you know it has come loose, is there an intense pain, do you get shocked?
Thanks!

Leads coming loose

Kyle,

From talking to my doctor about loose leads, he said that you would normally feel a lot of the same type of problems or sensations that you have before having the pm. Sometimes you will feel the a shock from feeling the pm pacing to correct the problem. In my readings, I haven't heard about intense pain, just discomfort, but that doesn't mean that it can't happen.

He also said that some people don't feel much at first, as some people only have their pm working occasionally (not like mine that paces all the time!)

Hope this helps,

Lenna

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
