Body Fat Testing Follow up

So I called Medtronic (the maker of my ICD) to see what they had to say about me using the body fat tester at the gym. They told me they don't recommend using it because it can cause the device to give an unnecessary shock. Yikes, I don't think I'm up for risking it!

I have a Medtronic as well and we have an "Omron" bodyfat analyzer at the gym I work at and I've never had a problem. The calipers are actually a little more accurate if the person taking the measurements knows what he or she is doing.

Every month I went for my body fat test. Today, I will go to the office, and have the staff pull up your information (giving a copy to me for my medical file), and help to keep them informed. Thanks Kyle0816 Barb
