Punch

So this is kind of a dumb post but one of my friends that hasn't seen me in a long time greeted me with a punch to the chest (it wasn't meant in a bad way). Anyway he punched me right on my ICD, he totally forgot I had it and felt awful after. Nothing seems to be wrong but I wonder if I should be worried about anything. It's probably fine. I feel stupid calling my Dr. about it so I haven't. Has anyone had something similar with a blow to the area? I'm guessing since the box is made out of titanium a blow like that wouldn't really do much.

Kyle,

I have never had that happen so I am not totally sure but I would think if you are feeling okay it is fine. I think it would take quite a punch to do any damage. I bet he doesn't do that again.

My almost three year old granddaughter came down on me hard with her head. Hit me right at the PM site. I saw stars. All is okay. I think these things were built to take a lickin but to keep on tickin. :)

I had the same thing happen to me with no ill side affects. I think you will be fine. Good luck to you.

I just had that happen tonight. An old friend hit me. It really hurt the site but everything else feels fine. My heart is beating at a steady 60bpm so I think its ok. I also plan on using the guilt card to get a free meal from my friend.
Take care,
Rusty

WOW!!! I just got shoved 4 feet, on th box. 3 days ago, for the first 2 days my implant site and heart were tender. I don't want that to ever happen again, hate feeling uncomfortable.
