Hello Frank,

Hope you are doing well with your pacemaker.

Looking at your interests (fishing and photography) I do not see any problems with continuing with these wonderful hobbies.  For the first six weeks after implant of our pacemaker our doctors usually tell us to avoid raising our pacemaker side arm above our shoulder but I see your pacemaker was put in March 26th, so you should be well healed by now and all ready to go.

If you are feeling well and you have had a pacemaker check and your doctors are happy with the results, I see no reason why you cannot start fishing again.  Are you right handed and do you throw your fishing hook with the right arm and is your pacemaker on your left side ?

Don't be afraid to live a normal life with the pacemaker but do tell your doctors if you are having any difficulties.  They know your medical history and can put your mind at rest or make any necessary adjustments to your pacemaker settings or medication to help you to feel better.  Both hubby and I have pacemakers and it doesn't stop us doing what we love.

Enjoy enjoy your fishing

"God does not subtract from a person's alloted time those hours spent fishing."

Hope you have a good time and can take pictures too!

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.
