Well, I had a remote test last Sunday. I knew something was wrong. BP went out of control on Saturday. No matter what I did pulse rate was 65. I forgot how tired I was pre PM. Monday morning call to the Dr that is replacing my PM. Before Dr office called me back the device center that I sent my test to on Sunday called me. She said my pm was at end of life. I said that was not news to me. Dr office called back have my appt to replace on 9/3 . I was really dreading this until it has gone into current mode which keeps at 65 no matter what. BP low again. Sitting down equals a nap. This is going to be a long week. I also have to go for a Covid 19 test next Monday. I asked if there were any options other than getting your brain swabbed through your nose. She said not if you want your pm next week.well. I am ready. I can't believe how tired I am.
Ok. Enough complaining. I think it may be nap time. I tried to water grass and Flowers yesterday. Did get it done but by the time I was finished the world was spinning. Had to sit outside and talk to rabbit and hummingbirds but there are worse ways to spend an afternoon
Y'all have a great day!!!

can they get you in sooner?

If you are that miserable, push them to do it sooner. Otherwise, take it easy. I'm sorry you have to wait. Don't try to push it, watering the grass can wait. Nap if you need to.
If this is your first replacement, it's super easy. They go in the same place so it's mostly numb scar tissue and they get us in and out. I'm usually home fixing my own lunch.
Hang in there! It'll be over soon.

Thanks all.
I don't go out by myself right now. Hubby and I have been married 52 years and his main vice is being over attentive. I know there are worse things but I gatta get out of here some, even if it is just to feed the mosquitose and water the flowers. But this too shall pass. They said they could not get me in sooner, partly because of covid.
There has never been an oxygen issue. Just wildly fluctuation of BP or low BP. Plus with no rate response I get really tired really quick even if I don't get dizzy
But you are on the mark Tracey, In a couple weeks I can resume life as much as covid will allow.
I can't believe I am looking forward to getting this done.
This Too Shall Pass

Well, Qwerty, just think how great you will feel after you get your new pacemaker!
I know my my daughter spent her time before her EOL pacer was replaced pretty much exhausted and wanting to rest, she wasn't able to go to work. I think that feeling goes with the territory, but she came out of the hospital a few hours after they put in her pacer feeling so much better and ready to go.
She had to get a c Ovid test too, at one of the hospital outpatient locations where she could get results within a couple hours. Guess that's the way they do things these days.
So just be good to yourself, take it easy, read, watch movies, or whatever you feel like doing. You know what's going on and it will be remedied soon.
Best of luck and you will feel good soon!
Mary

September 3rd will soon be here

Oh dear Qwerty, take good care until you have your new device. Don't worry about the garden. It will take care of itself. We don't want you spinning out of control. Nothing is really worth it. Hope you have family and friends around to help you.
I look forward to hearing better news from you soon. I wish you well and a new lease of life on the 3rd September, or very soon afterwards
