My son got a pacemaker fitted 4 weeks ago and has been told by the doctors that he can got back to football (soccer). we are worried that he might take a knock on it and damage it. does anyone know if there is some kind of protection or guard and where could we get one?

Hi, I play football 3 times a week and have it knocked the whole time by some big lads!
never caused me any trouble. At first I wore a shoulder support (neoprene) that you can get from most decent sports stores. However, once my confidence was up, I don't wear it anymore.

It is just over 10 years since a dual lead device was implanted for complete heart block. It has worked perfectly and I have traveled well near two million miles internationally since then.

Hi Teen.
Sports Authority.com
Click Shop Sports A-Z, Click Foofball Protective Equipment, Click Torso Protection, And view all the different equipment available. And take it from there.
I hope that helps you.
Good luck,
