Hi all been a while since my last post, so here i am again, i am now on my 3rd pacemaker since 2004. just got the new one on 8/8/2012 only this time i also have a ICD thanks to my home monitor that caught a couple of runs of v tach, the clinic called me in to do an ep study, only to see if they could duplicate the v tach in which they were very successful, my heart rate got to well over 400 bpm that is when they hit me with paddles and got me back in sinus rhythm, so thats where i am right now, feeling great and doing everything that i have always done.

Home Monitor

Hi Brian glad to here you are home and feeling good, as far as the home monitor it gave me a great sense of security just knowing that I am only a phone call, and pushing a button away from the pacer clinic being able to read what is going on with the pacemaker at any time. I have been lucky so far no shocks since getting the ICD, I think they have it set to fire when my rate gets above 190. Hope maybe this helps. Merry Christmas

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.
Good to hear

Glad all worked out. I just had a tacacardia attack last Sunday my hr only got to 175. But I had to go from a pacer to a BiVentricular/ICD. Now home a recoperating feeling good. I will be getting a home monitor with my new one. I think I will feel better about that.
