Is it just me or has anyone else had this happen?
The other day when I went for my PM tune up they turned on my rate response. Although they made no changes to my lower bpm setting of 60, my pulse seems to be averaging a bit faster now. Now average seems to be in the mid to upper 60's. Also my bp sems to have come down some to a very normal range. I seem to have more energy now when I exercise. The only thing the tech told me was that my pulse would probably go higher when exercising.
Is or can rate response alone be responsible for these things?

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
Lower Pulse Rate

They have probably switched on the motion sensor without telling you. That will increase your heart rate when you move about so that your pacing mimics are normal heart rate.No wonder you have more energy. Trouble is the technicians dont always tell you what adjustments they have made. It is normal to leave the motion sensor switched off for at least a week or two after pacemaker insertion.
