Medication for Heart Valve regurgitation?

JimmyandJeremy,
While medication can be given for specific symptoms of a leaky valve which you might have, like breathlessness, palpitations, fluid retention, high blood pressure, there is no medication to my knowledge that can actually stop a heart valve from leaking. Depending on the severity of your leaky valve you may be offered a repair or a replacement valve.
I have several leaky valves regarded as insignificant thus requiring no treatment at present although I have palpitations intermittently and am on a beta blocker and anticoagulant. Should my symptoms and leakages increase then I may need further medication or treatment, particularly if it is felt that valve disease is the cause. However at the moment there is no indication to suggest this
