Hello! My pacemaker was inserted six days a ago.
So, muscle in left side of chest was cut to insert it.
i do have some bruising and swelling at that site. I am assuming that would be natural, as inserted just six days ago into muscle.
Thank you,
Steelerbabe

no it's not "normal "

After six day it's "normal" to have a LOT of swelling around the PM. Unless it's hot, there are red lines around it, it's oozing or there is some other sign of infection, you're fine. If there is, get thee to a doctor (even ER) ASAP. PM Infections can be deadly.

I had no swelling or bruising. Not. normal. Doctor was not good at putting in a pacemaker. I'm very very thin in chest and did not have anything.
