Is cupping therapy ok? I keep getting mixed answers from various people all of which do not have pacemaker conditions. Please advise.

Cupping---I did it and it didn't hurt me

I'm no expert on the subject, but I did have cupping therapy for 2--3 sessions several years ago. It was not unpleasant or taxing. The therapist put the cups on my back and I lay quietly on my stomach for a half hour or so. Having experienced it, I can't really see what effect it could have on a pacemaker or why having a pacemaker would be a limiting factor.
I can't say the cupping did a great deal of good, but it didn't do any harm either. Most assuredly, it did no discernable harm to my pacemaker or to my heart.
I'd have no fear of doing it again. However, since it does have strong negative effects on the wallet, I'd want some assurance from a trusted source that it was likely to do some real good.

A pacemaker completely solved my problem. In fact, it was implanted just 7 weeks ago and I ran a race today, placed first in my age group.
What?

No, it's not a good idea. It's strongly discouraged for heart patients of all stripes.
