Hi Linnie - I was very aware of my new heartrate after adjustments - at the time it felt much faster than previously.  Over time the hyper-awareness went away and my new rate became my new normal.  I felt so much better with the adjustments that I was willing to wait and see what happened over time.

I haven't been so fortunate to have had the vaccine yet, so can't comment on that.

The only thing consistent about the reaction to the covid vaccination is that everyone has a different reaction. I doubt that your problem is related, however. The PM adjustments are Occam's beard.

I see you have already received some good advice from Persephone and AgentX86.  It would be all too easy to attribute blame to the vaccine and it is really difficult for anyone to say with certainty what might be causing your symptoms.    Could it be related to the setting changes, possibly too, but it could also be related to other health conditions or to a change in your condition which led to your getting a pacemaker in the first place.  Initially I got a worsening of all my symptoms because of the trauma of implant and while my heart was adjusting to pacing.  It passed though Linnie and hopefully it will for you too.

I have to say that I did experience a worsening of my arrhythmias within 48 hours of having a Pfizer vaccine and these continued for several days.   However as AgentX86 rightly says, everyone will have a different reaction.  I did in fact report this to my doctors at the time and was asked to take an extra beta blocker to calm everything down. My cardiologist/EP wasn't too surprised that my arrhythmias were surfacing when I told him of my symptoms following vaccination.  My immune system was clearly responding strongly to the vaccine and as its immediate effects wore off, my arrhythmias settled too.

I wouldn't however try to push through any difficult symptoms because it may be your body's way of telling you something isn't quite right.  You will soon see your EP when you can hopefully get to the bottom of all of this.

In the meantime, I would like to believe no harm will come to you, especially with your blood pressure and heart rate at those figures.  I would monitor yourself occasionally over this weekend and ask your EP about any concerning results.  Keep a note of any high heart rates and falling oxygen levels for your discussion with your EP on Monday.  Also of blood pressure dips/spikes.  If your symptoms concern you at any time though, you can always attend ER/A&E for advice.  Keeping well hydrated will help.  I note that you have Afib intermittently and as an Afib sufferer, I can speak from experience and say that AFib is certainly more than capable of causing the symptoms you describe.    Good luck for Monday and please report back

COVID vaccine query...

Hi Linnie,

I am hoping by the time you read this reply, that you are feeling better ☺️
I received my first dose 3 weeks ago, experienced definitel "flu like" symptoms for several days, including headache and fever.  For me, this did pass.  When I spoke to my cardiologist before getting the vaccine, she described more risks from not getting vaccinated, (due to various health conditions but not due solely to having a pacemaker...) then from the vaccine itself.
