Auto checks

I was told at the time I had my PM put in (feb this year) that they could disable the nighttime checks if it bothered me But it would reduce the life of the battery. I told them to leave it on and since I know what that sensation is I won't panic (as I did first test).
Ask them to change the time of your device self-checks

I should have pointed out that you can ask your EP team to change the time of these self-checks. After all, your PM doesn't know about timezones - so if you move several time zones you wouldn't want a nighttime action to take place in the middle of the day. An EP-tech should be able to do this without needing permission from your EP-doc.

You can ask your EP team to disable these auto-self checks

A lot depends on how stable your PM settings are (pacing voltage, pulse-width, etc.), but you can ask to have these auto-self calibrations turned off.
There are lots of posts here from folk who have found these auto-adjustments a real nuisance, and for many people they aren't essential.
