Vital Beat or Paceguard for biking

Has anyones used the Vital Beat or Paceguard pacemaker shield and shirt? I'm considering buying one of them to use when biking for protection from a possible fall. I'd like to know what your experience has been, and if you have a recommendation.

Biking

I don't have either, nor do I ride a bicycle but I can't see how one could land on their PM falling from a bike.  Our instinct is to protect our head, chest, and less so, our back.  If you fall, the instinct is to land on the shoulder or raise the hands in front of the face.  Certainly it's possible to have the arms tangled up so they can't cover the face but the legs will still be used to twist enough to land on the hip or shoulder.  It's never good but I don't see a direct hit on the PM.  It would certainly hurt but I don't think it's something to worry about.  I don't think any other cyclists here have used one of the shields, though I could be wrong.

I recommend a chest guard

I haven't used either, but when I mountain bike I use either race face flank core or fox raceframe chest guards. I have fallen chest first with and without my chest guards and my icd/pacemaker was completely safe (after a bad falls, I always send a remote interrogation to my device clinic just to make sure everything is ok). Just get a chest guard and start enjoying the outdoors. Best of luck!
