more then usual pvcs

Hi everyone, recently i started managing an overnite shift and was ok for the first week. It seems like all of the sudden i have more then my share of pvcs. Its completely fustrating right now at my desk because i can feel them and im having one while writing this. I go right to sleep when i get home , i know my clock is off but im trying to stay healthy as much as i can. I just realized i wasnt taking the right amount of dose for my anxiety which was 20 mg of lexapro instead of 10. My question being why are my pvcs more pronounced. Would it be picked up by my pacemaker and is it concerning. I , like many others on this site really find them fustrating and uneasy on oneself. Any input would be much appreciated. thank you, and godbless

PVCs

If the biological clock is being messed with, particularly if it's constantly being moved (swing shift), all sorts of bad things can happen.  It's important to keep a more or less consistent schedule.  Eating a healthy diet often goes out the window with the clock.

If I could finger one thing, it would be magnesium.  After I started supplimenting my diet with magnesium, not only did my PVCs (all but) go away but my leg and foot cramps did also.  If you try magnesium suppliments, make sure you use one of the organic compounds (not magnesium oxide).  You can do a web search on the partular compounds.  Each has different effects and some respond better to one than the others.

Also beware that magnesium is a laxative so go easy on it.  IIRC the USRDA is 400mg, so 4-500mg should be enough (suppliments aren't 100% available).  That much won't hurt you but might just help.

sounds reassuring

Thanks Agent, I will look into magnesium pills. Hopefully, it will help.

magnesium

Yes, figure out your body's response to magnesium before taking it and going right to work, if you are required to be at your desk (this is a delicate way of saying you could be spending a lot of time in the "necessary").  If I remember correctly, you are young, so getting proper nutrients from your diet may be more attainable for you than for an older person like me.  I hope you're feeling better - it's tough to work varying hours so take it easy on yourself.

thank you

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.
