Did I miss the Pacer Olympics athlete qualifying? I have perfected my floor routine when I induce a shock storm. It's a thing of beauty, easily gold medal performance.

I don't watch the woke olympics but it was on at the ortho's today. Perhaps you'd like to try out for skateboarding. From what little I saw, you'd have good competition.
Not even for a Gold Medal

Hmm.
I'm glad for your sake that you can find the humor in your situation but your "floor routine" doesn't sound like even a tiny bit of fun to me. I wouldn't care to watch. Probably you're not laughing when it's happening and neither is anyone else.
Everybody dies but you don't have to go throught this. As I'm sure you know, the defibrillator part of your ICD can be disabled. The people at Hospice will help.
You can die peacefully and--given it's you--while making a joke.

Haven't watched anything labeled "Olympic", either, but Olympic Streaks, Electric Slides, Electric Jumps or whatever it may be don't sound like fun to me.

My dear, my Cardiologist and I discussed it at length and agreed SCA ain't a bad way to go so we shut off my defibrillator function. Wouldn't you know the big one hasn't hit yet, thought there were a few dry runs. I'm still paced 100% in both chambers for comfort. The CRT never helped my Ejaculation Fraction which is lurking at 10%.

The Electric Light Orchestra was pretty good. Maybe Robo's auditioning.

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.

As an avid reader of "Recent Messages " you will know that , when you have a pacemaker you can safely use :-
an electric toothbrush, a power drill, an induction hob, a smart phone, a vacuum cleaner , a torch , a pencil sharpener and a lawn mower,
BUT I've never seen a post suggesting that it is safe to wear a gold medal on top of a PM. Why not play it safe and go for fourth place ?
