PVC causing low blood oxygen

After  Covid my blood oxygen has been up and down. Each time it drops my oximeter shows I am having PVCs. I am trying to wean off oxygen. Device check showed the PVC but the technician could not adjust to completely stop the PVCs.

Has anyone with a pacemaker have a similar occurance?

Covid and the heart.

Please see my post or search - 20/2/22, a summary is enc,

To know a little more about Covid-19  and the heart ( I had atrial flutter for a month after Covid-19), see the latest study ( cut and paste into your upper browser bar):

This looked at nearly 154 000 post-Covid USA citizens, providing evidence that the risk and 1-year burden of cardiovascular disease in survivors of acute COVID-19 are substantial.

Low oxygen saturation and PVC's

by TAC - 2022-02-26 12:13:02

Prolonged episodes of PVC's can lower oxygen saturation levels. However, the opposite is also true. Low oxygenation can trigger PVC's. The latter seems to be your case, because of your recent Covid infection. There are some cases of persisting symptoms after a Covid-19 infection. It seems that your problem is that your lungs haven't fully recovered from the virus infection. Of course, I'm assuming that you were not bothered by prolonged episodes of PVC's prior to catching the Covid. Incidentally, do not expect that your PM will stop the PVC's or any other type of arrhythmia. Only bradycardia will respond to a PM.

Covid and PVCs

It's not clear which is the dog and which is the tail.  I haven't had covid but I have had PVCs.  The way around them was to increase my heart rate to 80bpm and take a magnesium suppliment. PMs often don't capture PVCs unless there are long strings.  If you're getting that many, it's not surprising that your pO2 is tanking.

Other than trying to out-pace PVCs, there really isn't a lot that a pacemaker can do.

You know you're wired when...

You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.
