I live in a huge golf area so my ep has specific instructions for golfers. You can putt, chip, pitch whenever you feel up to it, but wait 3 months for a full swing. The leads need time to settle in and scar tissue to build to hold them in tight.

Once you heal,it shouldn't affect your game at all.

Like Tracy said, I waited until everything was healed, by my surgeon had his clubs in the operating room so he could do a round right after. Pretty sure he dropped a ball in my pocket

5 weeks

My Ep cleared me at 4 weeks and I went out at 5 weeks. Depends on the type of leads you have and how the leads are placed. Newer devices have an approach that doesn't cause stress on the leads and second if the leads are screwed in you can do normal things soon after implant. I was full running at 2 weeks post op. Funny thing is the device system is not on a pulley system. Raising your arms don't pull the leads. They actually shift towards the heart. The other thing I find interesting is they don't tell us hey keep your heart rate under 80 because when your heart beats fast those leads bounce so hard, that should be enough to dislodge leads.Yet they never tell us to keep our heart rate low. When leads do come out. It's nothing we did to cause it. Ask what your doctor recommends since he placed it. I'm fortune to have a doctor that is athletic and understood techniques for placement!  Hope you can get out soon.
