I have to agree with you! No professionals! I just meant that when we are depressed that someone here on this site I know can relate to it and help me through it. If I wanted another doctor's opionion about anything I'll go see one. It helps so much to post and read things that people with Heart problems have. Not only PM/ICD's. I agree that's why I love to come here is the remark pacer made, seeking advice needs to be easy.I don't want a professional analzye me just caring friends and family that listen and care.
Take care,
Amy
I am not totally on board with this idea

Hello,
as unpopular it is to go against he group... I don't think a forum with a mental health professional here is a good idea. There are plenty of other places to talk about that..... with professionals.
I see that the original question was asking that we add a category for depression in the listings to the left.
Yes, most of us have to work through some depression in our lives at some point. For me it has happened twice. Each time it was when I was isolated. I reach out now yo my friends and I recognize that fact that I am not going to be happy all the time.
If a section was devoted to depression I think that would be a good idea. When I am depressed, seeking advice needs to be easy. Very easy. After all if I am depressed I need help. All the help I can get from my friends and family.
Thanks Cotton top for a good idea.

Just because I don't agree with you does not mean I would consider sending you a hateful message.
If I have something to say I am woman enough to say it here. Anyone who knows me also knows that this in not my style. I can bet you it was not Cottontop either!
Considering I was the first to disagree with you leads me to think you are suggesting it was me! I don't have time to play adolescent games with you or anyone else.
Maybe you are just feeling down or overwhelmed with your health issues and not doing quite so well. When I'm sick I can be a bit emotional. Maybe you have just over reacted just a tad and now you have wrote this posting and you don't know how to fix it? I don't know.
I am sorry if you're feeling that you can not voice your ideas, however when you do, you need to be able to explain where you are coming from... your reasoning behind it.
We do live in America and we do have the right to speak freely without fear of prosecution. However the masses (people) also have the right to discuss and/or disagree. If we all agreed on every point where would growth and change come from?
So please... let's agree to disagree. You believe one thing I believe another.

What?
by cottontop - 2008-01-18 05:01:46
Thanks pacergirl no it was not be. I can't believe someone would even do that. I can't believe a simple suggestion could cause so much trouble. I did not intend for it to. It seems ashame we can't like pacergirl said agree to disagree. That is what is supposed to be so good about this site is we all have different experiences and opinions. Please everyone be respectful of others. I wish I had checked back sooner on this post.
Take care and God bless us all,
Amy

you know we have all had our disappointments in life, children doing what we are appalled at maybe watching a long relationship breaking up. life is not perfect. why can't we agree to disagree we are all intitled to this. we are all people from different backgrounds socioeconomic situations. what is so hard to say okay well your opinion is your opinion. you are still valued as a human being.so why can't we get along. love m

It made a HUGE difference in my life. Once I got it, I was finally able to run, and ride my bike long distances.

hi it is a highly addictive drug almost like the pams and very hard to get off. i have only ever had it in one dose in my life and so of course i did not become addicted. i will have some before my cataract operation jan 23rd. it does relax you but it is not good to take regularly there is too much danger of addiction. take care dd yes having a pacemaker is a highly emotional thing and does take time to adjust some more than others. jessie
