Garmin 2 Swim compatability

Wondering if anyone with a meditronic device has used the Garmin and if so did they have any known problems?

I want to track distance and time for motivation.

Would really appreciate hearing .

Cheers

They are perfectly safe and generally accurate. Sometimes the chest straps are hit or miss because the pacer confuses them, but the watches are fine.

I've been wearing a Garmin Forerunner for 3 years and really like it. It took me some time to learn how to use the functions. I use it to track track distance and I use the train programs for running.

Not quite the same

I bought a Garmin Swim 2 last year and found that the HR measurements weren't very useful - like many people I found that wrist pulseox doesn't work very well during exercise.

So I bit the bullet and purchased a Garmin Swim chest strap monitor (I know that chest straps work OK for me), and I find that it works well.  I don't see the HR increase that I would like but at least I have good data to ask my EP-doc for adjustments to my Boston Sci Accolade.

Garmin Swim 2

I have been using it (the Swim2) whenever I swim.  I did so before my implant (Nov '22) and since Christmastime when I was allowed to start training again.  No problems at all.  I do use the HRM that is part of the watch and periodically compare the HR on the watch to my manual carotid measurement and they are always within a few beats of one another.  I have never used the chest strap option because when I do a streamline off the wall the chest strap always ends up down by my waist.
