My Grandfather was implanted a pacemaker from Shree Pacetronix, an Indian company almost 8 years back and is working fine.He wants to move to USA . I want to know if the pacemaker company's in USA also give Free Life Time Warranty replacement there on the Pacemakers implanted because the company in India does. If any one knows let me know as most of the companies do give Free Replacment in India but I think if you are living in USA or Europe they do not provide the same warranty. If they don't provide there then why the bias from place to place.?

Bias?

Not getting a free replacement pacemaker has nothing to do with "bias" of any kind. It is called big business and isn't likely to change at anytime in the near or distant future. Your father should stay in India - cost of a pacemaker in the USA is in the high thousands so he should rethink his desire to leave India. Why does he want to leave India for the USA? He obviously has good, healthcare which is a really important factor anywhere in the world. How are costs for doctor's office visits, hospitalization, etc?

Not Bias

It's not Bias, if that is the word you actually meant to use, rather than government healthcare vs private healthcare. If you live in america you should know this by now.
We do not have socialized med. In some instances it is good and some bad.
Really?

Wow, I have not heard of this before, free replacement of a pacemaker. Here in the USA we do have to pay for a new pacemaker when the battery runs low.
About the bias... I am not sure what you are referring too.
Good luck, Pacergirl
You know you're wired when...
A thirty-day guarantee is not good enough.

I am just thankful that I am alive and that even though I have this pacemaker it is not the end of the world.
