Hi Beaker,
The British Heart Foundation suggest that you don't lift your arm that high for 6 weeks so that the leads bed in.

Could you practice your putting in the interim?

Pacemaker has been in for 6 weeks now. I chipped and putt after 5 weeks. Should I take full swing now after 6 weeks?

You should check with your doctors. There may be something unique about you or your installation.
In general, the rules are four to six weeks for reaching or carrying. Chip-n-putt should be fine at this point. The recommendation I've always heard was four to six months for a full swing (same with a tennis service). Your doctors have the final say.

I agree with the others. None of us would want to advise you to do something which isn't safe for you. We can only tell you what is generally advised re lifting your arm that high. Clearly, lifting isn't the same as driving a ball with some power with your arm raised.
If there are any golfers on the forum they may have more specific information, but as AgentX and Docklock say, your doctors will know the particulars of your surgery / implant and therefore it would be best to check with them first!
Let us know what they say and update us.

Hi!
I would like to start playing golf again now that I just retired. I received my Medtronic AZURE two years ago.
Are there limitations? I can't seem to find much information on this or on most excercises (weight training, arm excercises etc.)

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didnt slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.

You might want to fill in some of your profile. Impossible to lend advice when we don't know when, what and why you have what you have.
