MRI -

Has anyone experienced trouble when having the pacemaker put into safe mode before an MRI?
Yesterday I experienced a type of electric shock, or similar. Halfway through the technician doing what he does. It lasted about one or two seconds and was horrid. The technician said All done now, I felt as though I'd been tasered. And I really didn't recover for about 12 hours.
I hope I never need another one.

If you had that much trouble, you should report it to the manufacturer immediately. This shouldn't happen but there may be a defect that needs to be known,

Hi Abbie5045

I agree with AgentX86 - contact the manufacturer.  But I'll also add, report that technician.  I had a terrible adjustment once that caused shocks down through my toes as well as other unpleasantries, and it was an ER dr who didn't know what she was doing.  She blamed me for a panic attack.

Something is very wrong.  That's not normal.  If you don't find answers, surf the web and then research the devices dr manuals if you can download them.

Prayers you find the answer asap.
