biotronik enitra 8dr and road cycling- Help!

hello everyone

I introduce myself from Spain.....sorry if my English is not very good

I had a biotronik enitra 8dr pacemaker implanted 20 days ago and I'm a little worried about what I'm reading about how the CLS works I am very fond of road cycling and in order to have adequate performance, I need to work up to a maximum of 170ppm and be able to climb between 155-165ppm to feel good From what I have read biotronik with cls is not the best option for cyclists since it limits the heart rate a lot My only experience so far has been bad since on the stationary bike when I reached the maximum of 150 they immediately lowered me to half (approximately 80 ppm) Can someone tell me about their experience with this pacemaker in road cycling?

Thamk you

Angus, welcome.  Sometimes by typing into your general web browser Pacemaker Club CLS Cycling you might get more specific hits than searching under "Q", top right of Home Page.

As you will see from the several links I have provided, CLS can be tricky to get right.  From what I can see, working with a Biotronik technician might be necessary, especially if your clinic technicians are not always familiar with the CLS and/or Biotronik.

Don't be put off, keep trying out the system/pacemaker you have until you have exhausted all avenues but a Biotronik manufacturer technician with specialist knowledge of his product is the person to see, if you haven't already done so?

Anyway have a read of some of the attached links.  You may not have seen all of them? You will need to copy and paste these links into your main browser to open. Hopefully a cyclist with a Biotronik device and CLS will be along shortly with some advice.

Your English is excellent by the way and hope you are doing well otherwise.

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.
