Does anyone know WHY KARDIA say devices should NOT to be used with Pacemakers etc. Is it because of possible electrical interferenc? I know Pacing spikes do NOT show up as they do on a proper 12 lead ECG, I can't imagine them causing harm to anyone with a PM/icd.

There is nothing wrong with them. I own a 6L and use it regularly.
There are two problems. First, the software isn't designed to understand pacing spikes. Identifying arrhythmias (Afib) may be compromised. They're advertising is then "false". Second, and probably the larger problem; they haven't done the testing or submitted the paperwork to get FDA approval for use in patients with pacemakers. They want to advertise FDA approval, so...

I've had a KM for years. I got a pacemaker last month, from what little documentation I have I think it is an Abbot PM.
I tried using the KM last week (no one told me not to) and it will not read anything. It just says "electrical interference", so I'll give it to someone. I never quite understood what good it was anyway, at least for a potential heart attack.
Oh well 😊

Wazza, it is because Kardia Mobile has not been tested on patients with pacemakers, not because of possible electrical interference. They are safe to use and many members have them. With paced rhythms ECGs can be more difficult to interpret but an experienced cardiologist/EP or an experienced member, will have no difficulty in interpreting a Kardia Mobile ECG. I have ordered a 6 Lead Kardia mobile for my husband.
The manufacturers of Kardia are not able to make a recommendation for use with pacemakers as they have not carried out any studies to back up what they can and cannot say about the accuracy of Kardia with a pacemaker
