I am wondering if convection microwave ovens are safe for us pacemaker patients. I read that of course microwaves are not a problem nor are the convection ovens. However, I did read that we need to stay away from convection microwave ovens. Would appreciate your responses. I couldn't find any queries on this specific item and as I am moving into a place where there is a convection microwave it is a matter of concern.
Thanks!

Should be absolutely safe.
No different to a conventional oven.
I have a Panasonic combination microwave oven, microwave, convection oven, grill and don't give it a second thought.
The convection function retains all the safety features of the microwave with respect to shielding.

When your speaker boxes are on, it's better to stay some 30 centimeter away from them. I do rhe same concerning my television, because it is one of the last plasma units that was made. It could have some electro-magnetic emission.
Apart from that, I think that all types of consumer ovens are safe to be used...

Hello Benedeni....
Quick search about Abbott (which should cover your St. Jude's) indicates no interference. I think you'll be fine. Just don't hug it while in use. ;-)
Here's a link.... keep scrolling down for a list of what's ok and what to be careful with.
