ANOTHER UPDATE: DR. cleared me for using Hawthorn Berry extract. Am feeling just fine. Am so grateful to each of you.
Anyone ever tried Hawthorn Berry for the heart? Am starting to hear about it but wondered if it actually works or is a new "health rumor" Several practitioners support its use.
Hawthorn Berry is supposed to help heal and regulate the heart, etc. Not taking it yet, but might try it.
Anyone attempt it or using it? Many thanks
blessings.
UPDATE: MANY THANKS for your kind comments and information. I so appreciatae each of you. Pending a call with the dr. tomorrow and will ask. It may be too early to attempt anything as my ticker is healing from the extraction holes and valve. Though, I mostly feel fabulous.
So strange, after surgery, I attempted a bit of organic type ginger ale with stevia, and after one sip, my ticker raced away. Thus, right now, it's not taking much to send my ticker running for it's life. Chocolate doesn't have any effect - so that's a good thing. :-)

Hello Rose, please read the above link account.
I expect all those that it has killed will not reply to your question. I doubt whether any person's single opinion would be sufficient for me to be reassured. What about you?

Rose i do not understand why you are concerned about how this would effect you. Since you do not have a pacemaker or leads any more.

Greetings dear New to Pace,
Was hoping someone had used it here. Whilst I'm no longer using a pacer, I hope my experiences will help others. Question everything.
That said, Hawthorn Berry helps heal/regulate the heart, rhythm and blood pressure. My heart is still healing and will do so for several weeks. I was cleared to use it. I'm using the minimum just in case and monitoring it very closely. I'm super in tune to my body, I just don't always know how to resolve issues. :-)
I had a bad reaction to the pacer and leads and was beyond miserable/ill since it's insertion. I did not need it. What I needed was a medical team that listened to my complaints about drug reactions and my own courage to walk out the hospital to seek 2nd opinions.
For me and my system, this herb is safe. If I can help someone else, am very happy to provide information. I use no meds, am meticulous regarding my food/liquids, do reformer instructor led pilates for strength building and have extricated myself from a very bad situation where I was under horrible seige for over a year (constant throughout the night wake ups that shook the builsing, constant terrorizing, interference/stealing electricity, turning off my heat, intimidation, property damage and on and on.). This started my health decline. I still have a RBBB, that I'm hoping to resolve. (I know wishful thinking)
My situation remains a bit unique. I may need a pacer in the future, but it will have to be gold plated and leadless. By that time, some wonderful new system will be in place.
Hope this helps - great question. Thanks and blessings.

I tried it many years ago. I had to stop as i had a reaction to it. Just reread about this berry. Even tho it says it is good for many issues. It also says to avoid when taking certain medications. You might check and see if the medicaton's you are taking are on the list.
