My hospital cancel contract Biotronik pacemakers, I had two of these, all good.
My pacemaker technician say next one is choice of Boston Scientific, Abbott or Medtronik. I have now CRT pacemaker Eluna Biotronik since 2014.
Any idea which one to choose for my 3rd pacemaker replacement?

The only people I can think of who might get a choice could be the cardiologist themselves.
I suspect that there might be some incentives involved to persuade cardiologists to use one brand rather than another and medical devices are in a highly competitive business with much at stake.
As Lavender says, leave the choice to the experts. Either that, prepare to do a lot of research and put a case together for your choice.
It might be better to concentrate on your needs and make sure the decision includes your interests, activities, sports, hazardous employment etc

If you have been provided with a choice of other manufacturers but are used to Biotronik and have found it suits you, would you consider changing your clinic to access your preferred device?
I wouldn't take ownership of any decision. You need to have a proper discussion with your cardiologist IMO and have him explain which device he feels will be the most suitable replacement and why.
you dont pick

I would agree only a cardiologist might have a discussion with their cardiologist on devices, otherwise the rest of us. They pick, we dont. I have had medtronic, st jude and boston scientific. I have medtronic, guidant and boston scientific leads. The major brands are all good, no one is better than the others, they each have isolaed problems from time to time. My doc spreads it out in case there is a time where one brand needs to replace many of them it wont affect all of her patients.
Your job is to indicate to the doc that you do or want to do this or that activity, something you maybe already told them or maybe never did. that is your role in helping them decide if they need to give you one that is more tuned to a higher bpm for sports or something. Or one with a rate change feature in case you have issue when you get up and move or such.
You know you're wired when...
You fondly named your implanted buddy.

Just because you have a device doesn't mean you are damaged goods and can't do anything worthwhile and have to lie down and die. In fact, you're better and stronger. You're bionic!

I have a Boston Scientific CRT-P. I was given no choice of device. I would think the professionals would choose the device you need based on your lifestyle and heart issues. I have read here that bike riders like the Boston Sci.
