Hi,
I got a message after my quarterly download that I am pacing 100% BIV. No explanation. What does it mean? Is it OK? Should I be worried:?

The greatest benefit with cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) is achieved when biventricular pacing (BivP) percentage (%) is close to 100%.
No need to worry-your dr would tell you if you're in danger. Sounds like things are working as they should.
All sounds good to me

Ed, I agree with both Lavender and New to Pace.
Although not compulsory, it would help us to answer your questions if you told us a little more about yourself? However, please do not give any personal information away, like email address, serial number of your pacemaker for your own personal online security.
The aim of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) is to pace both of your heart’s lower chambers (the ventricles) “together”. This type of pacing is also known as biventricular pacing or multi-site ventricular pacing which can help support patients with heart failure or other conditions that benefit from CRT pacing.
As Lavender says, the greatest benefit is achieved when biventricular pacing percentage is close to 100%, so providing you are feeling okay and not experiencing any uncomfortable symptoms, I wouldn’t be concerned.
Did you receive any other information from your quarterly downloads like for example information on the percentage pacing in the right upper chamber (the right atrium) if you have a third lead? Don't worry if you don't know. Another question for your doctors: were there any events recorded, for example high atrial or ventricular heart rates? They usually like to make sure that our heart rates are close to normal at all times (normal would be in the range 60-100 bpm). Anything over 100 bpm, especially for long periods, might need treating for example.
Good luck and please don't worry. The fact that you received so little information from your quarterly download suggests that all is well but do ask your doctors if you are concerned about any symptoms.
Short answer

Here is a short answer to your question: I am pacing 100% BIV. No explanation. What does it mean?
It means that that your CRT is doing exactly what it should be doing. That is a good thing!
Sincerely,
Dave
