Can anyone help me with login proceedures to this site? When i signed up it said i would receive a verifcation email, which i never did. I was able to post once, but then the next time i went to login it would not accept my password. i clicked the "forgot my password" button, but got an error message with computer text. I then sent emails to both the info and sales email addresses listed at the bottom of the website but got no response.
Today i used my wifes email to create another login, since it wont let me use me email anylonger. same thing, it said i would recieve a veroifcation email but once again nothing. and yes i checked my and my wifes junk folder. my guess is when i go to login after making this post i wont be able to login for this site again.
i enjoy the forum and would like to post an update to my post of the collapsed lung and respond to others who post.
thanks,
tim

Password and logging in

Hello
You aren't the only one with this problem, so it's not you doing something wrong, it's the website.
Some weeks ago, I wasn't able to login, and at some point, probably trying to change password or using the forgotten password route, I had the same page of what looked like the underlying code that supports what you should be seeing.
Fortunately, I had the option of being able to try several other computers, all Windows, all using Chrome browser. One PC had Google passwords store set up and I was able to use that.
You shouldn't be getting all the code displayed and it could be a security threat.
I can only think that whoever maintains the website has done some tinkering and maybe didn't do some end to end testing afterwards.
We have been reassured that these problems will be sorted and that we will have a "state of the art" website sometime in the future.
Claims like that sometimes ring true, but often don't.
I have a collection, mainly from politicians, going back to Prime Minister Harold Wilson's "White heat of technology", plus "sunlit uplands" and "The Big Society".
Still waiting.
Still waiting too, but with hope in my heart Piglet!

Oh Piglet, as always you bring humour to an otherwise frustrating and concerning situation. But I am not going to give up on this Club and its members so easily, are you? In any event, I am an optimist and am hopeful that the Pacemaker Club will be successfully, securely upgraded soon, so that we can continue to work with each other to find meaningful answers to some of our Pacemaker Club questions.

They are still working on a new sited for us, but today installed a security update which should fix some of the login issues until the new site is ready. Please have patience! It is a huge undertaking.

I, too, have not received the verification. Thanks very much for letting me know why. I think this is a great site in the making.

Tim, the Club is going through an upgrade of the computer system which is complex because of the age of the software. No one seems to be receiving verification emails, or notifications when we receive private messages, or comments to our posts. The fact that you are able to post means you are very much a member, so just keep posting, if you are able to log in, or stay logged in?
I have just activated your account, although you will have to wait to hear from Admin in due course about the difficulties with your password.
I would start a new post on any updates to your earlier post since comments left on older posts may not be seen at present since they are not automatically bumped to the top of the Recent Messages board.
I hope this will all be sorted soon?
