Can anyone tell me if VVI -CLS settings on biotronic evity 8 pacemaker same as VVIR settings

Mark, yes it basically means the same thing as VVIR.

The setting/code  (VVI-CLS) tells me that you have VVI pacing with a rate response feature called CLS (closed loop stimulation) on your Biotronic pacemaker.  VVI mode tells me that you have single chamber ventricular pacing although I believe you have two leads.   In VVI mode, the pacemaker can sense the electrical activity of the heart and withhold pacing when it is not required.  The R at the end of the code (VVI-R) would denote Rate adaptive pacing which is what CLS is
