Mowing my lawn on day 2

It's been about 44 hours since discharge and I feel so much better. Evidently hypoxia as a way of life was not the best option. I have a light electric mower and a small yard during prime grass growing season. I've been able to mow pretty well one-handed previously. They say I'm not restricted with my right arm. Do you think it's too soon to do something that active?

Only becase you might get sweat running into your incision.  could cause an infection.  I think you should at least wait until you have your stitches or what ever was used to close the incision  healed or close to it at your 10 day check up..  Then check with your Dr. to make sure you are ok.  For now just keep moving your left  arm just not above your shoulder or lift  more then 5pounds.  Once everything has healed you can do pretty much everything.

When in doubt ask your wife.

No!

New To Pace has the right answer.  If it gets infected you have a, potentially life-threatening, problem. Your pacemaker leads are a superhighway for an infection, directly to your heart. We've had people here who have had to have everything ripped out and the entire thing redone, sometimes on the other side.  If it doesn't get caught in time...

Follow your doctor's directions, to the smallest detail. They didn't give you instructions out of boredom.

Hang on for a while

The grass will be there when you're more healed. You only have one heart. Give it a rest to heal. Ask someone for help this time, ok?

It's good to hear that you feel well enough to get back to normal life and I'm sure that you aren't the first to dive back to.

However, it's very early days and there are significant wounds to heal and things to bed in.

Did you not get advice from the hospital on what to do or not?

I think I would be making the most of it

Just think of all those chores you shouldn't be doing like washing up, putting the rubbish out and so on.

Sit and watch the grass grow.

Thank you, much appreciate your advice!

"When in doubt ask your wife."  She said "don't even think about it"

I'm cooling my jets and thinking about the lawns differently.

I am just now 40 but have had these blackouts all my life. I am thrilled with the pacer and would do it all over again.
