Any Natural Treatments

It's been an interesting 2 weeks for me and I'm wondering if anyone knows about natural treatments for H. Pylori.
I started last week with some bloating.. some cramping on and off. So I went to the dr. and I got checked for stomach bacteria.
Now I am sure I will be told on Monday that antibiotics will be the next step and I am researching for natural treatments out there..

My question is... has anyone experienced this and does antibiotics even work because from what I am reading a person has to take multiple antibiotics and not sure I can tolerate that physically.. so I'm not sure what to do...

thanks everyone

There are several tests for H. Pylori. Which one did you have?

If you do have active H. Pylori infection, you have to take several different medications including antibiotics for a successful eradication. Please talk to your GI doctor!

I cannot answer your question about natural alternatives but I have personally found this charity to be useful - Guts UK.  They have a fact sheet on H.Pylori which includes the treatments / diagnostic tests. They mention people who do not tolerate antibiotics or when it doesn't work and alternatives. Unfortunately, he alternatives are not specified. Fact sheet: https://gutscharity.org.uk/advice-and-information/conditions/helicobacter-pylori/

I think they have a helpline so you could ring / email for advice about alternatives to antibiotics if you decide upon this course of action.

stomach cramping

From your description to me(am not medical person) sound more like  a reaction to "gassy foods" or foods with sugar that convert to gas.  For me i try to avoid eating those foods. Such as Broccoli, Caulflower, cabbage, Beans and if i eat do take a Beano Supplement with them to keep the gas out.  Or i avoid fruits that contain a lot of sugar. For the diary i take Lactaid tablets and GF supplment with casien capsules.  I have lost my very bloated stomach.

The other thing you can do is write down everything you eat  and drink including spices and herbs.  Then if you have a reaction you can write that down also.  There are Blood tests for food sensitivities  you can take.  I use them every couple of years.

Bismuth salts

IIRC, while the bismuth salts for 'indigestion' weren't much use as antacids, it turned out that they had some useful effect against H. pylori, which probably explained their continued popularity in the many decades before H. pylori was identified as a pathogen.

A friend of mine who is into holistic medicine told me to try premier limonene, its essentially an orange oil. He takes it religously. I dont really like how it taste, personally .
