Dear Pacemaker Club Members,
We are fully engaged in crafting the design and layout for the new Pacemaker Club Website. Our team has been working hard to enhance the site's functionality and features.
Our hope for the new forum is to provide a welcoming home base for everyone with pacemakers, ICDs, and CRTs. This platform will be a valuable resource for providing information and serving as a catalyst for open discussions that benefit members. Our goal is to foster a strong community through our shared experiences and support.
Your Feedback Matters
Thank you all for your valuable feedback. Your insights have been instrumental in shaping the primary objectives and roadmap for this project. Rest assured, our team is thoughtfully incorporating many of your requests into our plans, ensuring the best possible user experience.
New Features to Look Forward To
For those who missed last month’s update, the new website will provide the opportunity to customize your account profile with an avatar, personal bio, and interests. Your account profile will be a home base to receive notifications on all topic discussions you are following. Our re-designed direct messaging feature is created to feel intuitive and familiar, offering a streamlined conversation thread similar to messaging apps on your phone.

Security is also important

Forgive me Admin for raising this publicly but I feel it has to be said. I was surprised to see this update from you about the exciting plans for the Pacemaker Club without first having acknowledged and perhaps apologised for the security concerns members have experienced over the last 24 hours when trying to log on to the Pacemaker Club.
I would like to take this opportunity as a moderator to express my sincere apologies to all members who have been affected by the security warning which I believe was due to an expired Certificate. I see that the Certificate has now been renewed to 12th December 2024. Hopefully by then we will have the new site up and running and we can all move forward with complete confidence. I know security is so important to all of us and this has to be a priority too.
On the updates, the re-designed direct messaging feature offering a streamlined conversation thread similar to messaging apps on our phone sounds really useful. I like the bookmark feature too since I am always wanting to highlight important comments.
Thank you again for all your help and for renewing our expired Certificate

How do you plan to reach those who had recently recieved the notification when we tried to log in that this site was "not secure"? Do notice that spell check is not working still.
Have been on the facebook page not fond of using that as i do not feel safe as many others can access that who do not have devices.
