Medtronic Azure RR programming for runner/swimmer/peloton

Hi Everyone, Hoping for some advice.

Im heading into the Cardio tomorrow for a check up 3 weeks post op and a reprogram of my Medtronic Azure DRI device. I have had some issues related to rate response at low to moderate activity levels ( jumps straight up to max rate) that I discussed in another post.

Doing some research I see that the customer programming for RR on Medtronic lets you set a threshold, an ADL ( average daily living ) rate and an Upper Response rate. To effectively define a line with two slopes  for rate response.

Has anyone that is a mid range athlete, 50yo, ( 8-9 min miles running over longer distances) had any experience in setting these parameters? If so would really appreciate your learnings.

Thanks in advance.

I am 69 and train / race triathlons. My Medtronic Pacemaker was implanted early April. My settings for the rate response according to the Medtronic rep are 4 out of 5. The sleep mode (between 10pm to 5am) is set to 40 beats per minute, the daily mode is 50 with a high end of 170. My 3 month report came back that I am in Afib 30 of the last 90 days with the pacemaker doing its job keeping my ventricle paced at a reasonable pace. I suffered from av block 2 and low hr Afib prior to the PM implant.

Aside from feeling sloggy while running when I am apparently in Afib.....I never know I am in Afib unless my cardiologist tells me from the readout and correlation to my Strava files...I feel normal while swimming intervals, riding my bike or doing runs.

You know you're wired when...

Your pacemaker receives radio frequencies.
