Tomorrow I leave for Los Angeles (about an hour flight for me)
Monday pre op testing & physical
Tuesday 5th (Election day 🫣) I have to be at the hospital (Cedar Sinai) for 5am. 7am procedure start.
on the agenda:
remove and replace duel chamber pacemaker
lead extraction X4 (2/26yrs old & 2/16 years old)
placement of two new leads (hopefully on left side) I'm a righty but after lead abandonment on left side they moved everything to the right.
I will be getting the left branch bundle placement for the leads (this is new for me)
I'm nerrrrvous.... but trying not to think of it and instead all the yummy food I can eat in La prior to the procedure 🤣
my sister who is a nurse will be meeting me in La to stay with me during the process.
I fly back home Friday 8th.
wish me luck please this is a big one for me a long time in the making.
Amy

Good luck with all that.
All you can really do is put yourself in the hands of the experts.
Reward yourself with a big treat when it's all over. We in the UK will be watching the election and remembering that you will be doing something different.
Best wishes
GOOD LUCK!!

Wishing your surgeon his best day ever, calm and healing for you. It's great your sister will be with you.
Eat something really fabulous!
Check in when you can.
Psalm 90/91

I pray Psalm 90 for you -- 91 in some translations. It was a calming comfort for me as I was going under, especially verses 4 and 5. "He will overshadow thee with His shoulders: and under His wings thou shalt trust. His truth shall compass thee with a shield: thou shalt not be afraid of the terror of the night." and 11. "For he hath given His angels charge over thee; to keep thee in all thy ways."
Glad you are getting all new stuff!

I was just upgraded from a dual chamber pacemaker to an ICD. They re-used my atrial lead but knicked it when they pulled the old ventricular lead out. Instead of replacing the atrial lead, they repaired it. I am so friggen mad about this.
So I am glad you are getting all new stuff. Prayers to you for a successful surgery and best wishes for a safe flight. You have a lot of support here ♥️
You are a challenge

Of course I wish you luck Amy. You are going to fully test your surgeons and yourself and I hope the procedure goes according to plan from start to finish. Please come back when you have recovered and update us all on what was achieved. I wonder how long the procedure will last? There is a lot of work to do.
I am glad you have your sister around to support you during the procedure. Stay safe and I hope you will be very happy with the outcome.

May all proceed better than expected! Wow all that taking out and putting in-lots of changes! Will be nice having a fresh start! My cardiologist says left bundle branch placement is the new standard of care. My next placement will be there.
How wonderful having a built in nurse/sister companion! God bless and keep you in His tender care. We will be awaiting your followup report on your spanking new heart lines!💖
