hi, new teen

I'm marisa, i'm 14, i have a congenital (born with) heart problem, I have gone through 8 surgeries and 5 pacemakers, my last surgery was october 2006. For anyone who has just recently got a heart problem and is trying to cope with their peers like i have over the gazillion school years dont stress and be self councious of others staring at you.

I'd really like to hear about your life with the pacer. My little granddaughter got one at 3 days old and is doing pretty well now. How old were you. How are you coping. In addition to being special because you have a pacer - what else are you into, just regular teen stuff?

It's funny, last summer I met another little girl just my granddaughter's age who also had a pacemaker - you absolutely would have never known to look at her. I'm really greatful for this site.
