ipods are OK!

I just found this article. It says that ipods and other digital music players don't interfere with pacemakers. But, it does interfere with the equipment that interogates the pacemaker.

So, go ahead and play your music!!!!

I have to slide my iphone down the hall when I do my phone checks as it plays havoc with the machine.

Laptops

by pacergirl - 2008-03-28 04:03:31

I have a laptop that goes everywhere with me. I am always online with this or that. I have learned that the laptop must be at least 4-5 feet away for the phone check equipment when I am running a pacercheck. The tech on the other end of the line could not get a proper reading from my pacer with the laptop next to me. She said it causes interference. ????
So as a result I turn the laptop off of leave it in another room during pacerchecks. I have not experimented any with my cell phone and the pacercheck equip.
