I wrote in about my pulse being under the setting, it very well could be that i'm not getting a good read by just taking it myself. Some of you talk about monitors you have is it okay to use a heart monitor like the ones you wear working out. I have a pulsar one.. Thanks..

I just got a Medtronic PM implanted 3 days ago. The rep. told me that there was no problem using my Timex heart monitor. As Smitty indicated the band would be 6" below the PM site (at least it would be for me)

A pacemaker completely solved my problem. In fact, it was implanted just 7 weeks ago and I ran a race today, placed first in my age group.

I know of no electronic heart monitor you cannot use. But to play it doubly safe I guess you should be sure and keep any moniotor you use at least 6" from the PM site.
