Need your opinion

Hello,

I am an industrial design student doing my thesis on the pacemaker phone-checks/ transmitter box. Through my personal experience I have found it difficult to find a working Land Line that I can use to do my phone checks. I would appreciate any personal accounts on what you find easy and difficult when using your transmitter box for over the phone check-ups. Stories, experiences, anything would be helpful.

I've been using the same telephone monitoring system for nearly 26 years. I have used both a land line phone and a cordless phone with it. I have never tried a cell phone. I have had no problems with any of my monitoring. The unit is called a CarryAll (tm) DDD by Instromedix and is still serving me well.

I have over the phone checks too, I can use cordless and with a cord phones. I remember one check up was bad and I ended having surery the next week. Belive me when I say this the people will get mad if you keep missing yor over the phone check ups, I know this from experience.

I have had the same phone unit since 2000 & works well except when I have used it at home with a land line I have to go into the bathroom to be recieved. The tech at other end recommended this. Bathroom is windowless & in center of single story ranch style house. So that's what I do. When I was still working full time, I had a private office in a 14 floor office building in downtown Anchorage & never had any problems with the multiple line office land line phone.

Phone Transmission

We've never had any problems with our phone doing a transmission -- both corded and cordless. Actually, we have better luck with the cordless. We make sure that we do the checks regularly and when we're supposed to. It was during a check that we found that one of our son's leads had broken. He had surgery the next day!
