Support Group

Hi Everyone,

I love this support group but, I was wondering if anyone has actually started one up in their area? I am thinking about doing it.If anyone would have any info they could share with me about this...that would be great.

I went into my MD yesterday because I have to have surgery next week & they wanted me to have a physical before I do this. e informed me that not only did my heart stop for 19 sec, but also 2 times for 30 sec. I find this rather disturbing that my Ep or cardio didn't tell me this. I don't know maybe I am being too sensitive here but..it does bother me.I guess I just wanted to share with someone other than family...they don't need to know because they already worry about me to much.

Everyone have a great day

When I learned (tilt table test) that my heart stops for over 20 seconds at a time then restarts and stops again, I thought "whoa! that sounds like death!"
I was relieved to finally have a correct diagnosis instead of "epilepsy," but the thought of my heart stopping was not comforting. They said "oh it's MUCH better than epilepsy!" BUt it took a while to get my head to really remember that it's really the same old thing my body has been doing for 50 years, no matter what they call it.
No I have not started a support group, though. I like the anonimity(?) of the internet... plus it's available 24/7.
Good Luck!

I wasn't really self-conscious about it. I didn't even know I had one until around six or seven years old. I just thought I had a rock in my side.
