Hi Everyone,
I have been away for a while. I was trying to look at old postings, but guess I am too tired and can't find the search area for a specific topic.
Anyway, question:
What percentages is your heart using your PM, and has your Cardiologist ever lowered the settings?
I am set at 60 and my PM is being used 100% of the time. PM implant due to Bradycardia- 2nd degree blockage in Aug. 2007. My Cardio had mentioned one time maybe lowering the setting to 55. I think 60 is fine. I don't have the fatigue or the other symptoms from before!
Thank you,
Casey Jo

I am set at 70/120. I am 100 percent paced and totally dependent on my PM. I feel better at this setting. My other one was 60/110. Didnt feel good on it.

I had my pm at the same time you did. Mine is set at 60 low 135 high. While on meds whenever my pulse was in the 50s, it would leave me very tired. I go in to see the tech in April and thinking of asking them to lower it to 125 high. I definitely don't want the low any less then 60. I asked about having it set at 65, and she said no, they save that for determining the battery is getting low. I am much less tired then before the pm and only wish I had it put in sooner. Good luck.... aldeer

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.

I am set at 80 and paced 98 percent of time. My battery will be used up quicker than some who are paced less. I have a St. Jude PM.
Take care,
